PasCheck welcomes the £13.2bn Warm Homes Plan funding and calls for consistency to protect skills and ensure high-quality retrofit delivery across the UK.

The recent reaffirmation of the UK Government’s £13.2 billion commitment to the Warm Homes Plan is a hugely welcome move for the entire retrofit sector. At PasCheck, we view this as not just an investment in energy efficiency, but in people, communities, and the future of our housing stock.

This scale of funding sends a clear message: retrofit isn’t a side conversation anymore – it’s a central pillar in our journey towards net zero and tackling fuel poverty. For businesses like ours, who work daily to support PAS 2035 compliance and raise standards in the retrofit process, this backing provides long-term confidence in the direction of the sector.

The industry needs consistency and a knowledgeable, skilled workforce to meet the high standards required in retrofit. Crucially, repeated changes to funding mechanisms and programme rules create damaging peaks and troughs – and when that happens, we risk losing some of the best talent in the sector just when we need them most.

At PasCheck, we’ve made long-term investments in both our staff and the technology we use to ensure the smoothest retrofit journey possible for our clients. We believe that continuity, expertise, and quality delivery must sit at the heart of the sector if we’re to build trust and deliver impact at scale.

It’s also encouraging to see the Government recognising the critical role of local authorities, social landlords, and delivery partners in making retrofit work on the ground. That kind of partnership approach, matched with sustained investment, gives real hope that we can accelerate skills development, create local jobs, and reach those households who need it most.

We still need clarity on delivery timelines and how the funding will be phased – but the commitment itself is a strong signal. For those of us already embedded in the fabric of retrofit compliance and coordination, this is the kind of news that keeps momentum going and unlocks future planning.

At PasCheck, we’ll continue working alongside our clients to ensure every project not only meets the required standards but delivers real, lasting benefit to residents and the environment. This announcement is a step in the right direction – and we’re ready to help make it count.
